They promised each other eternal love in a wedding on the beach in Fuerteventura. In an idyllic place, as they always dreamed, they celebrated an intimate and spectacular ceremony.
The beginning
Johanna and Gabri came to us because they wanted to make the most of their great day. They wanted to contact professionals able to shape their wishes in the smallest detail. They did not want to be concerned with assembly, decoration, suppliers, or permits. Their dream was a wedding on the beach, with their family (all foreigners) and closest friends, in a civil ceremony, with a symbolism closely linked to the sea, their greatest passion.
They
She is from Vienna and Gabri from Rome. Johanna came on vacation to Fuerteventura where she wanted to take a surf course. The teacher assigned to her for the course was Gabri and the rest is history. What started as a summer love turned into a 3-years long distance relationship.
Johanna had many doubts about leaving her hometown, work and family, but finally she decided to move and literally leave everything for love.
The best decision of her life, not only do they live happily on a wonderful island, she also has turned her hobby into her profession. Currently, she is a founding partner of Manipura Circurs Arts and a yoga and acrobatics teacher.
Gabri is a surf teacher and manager of a surf camp in Fuerteventura.
After 7 years of relationship, they decided to get married.
The bride’s dress and accessories.
Johanna wanted a lightweight design that allowed her freedom of movement. She chose a two-piece design signed by Lorena Merino Atelier: a fantasy bodysuit in embroidered tulle, plumeti and guipure details. The skirt, vaporous, made of cotton muslin, gave it a very romantic air and a lot of movement.
The tiara, from Tiarará, is made of wax paste and brass flowers. It is a composition of corals, flowers and starfish.

Johanna chose a necklace from Verdeagua Style. It is inspired by a lotus flower. It is a unique piece of brass, bathed in gold with knotted natural silk and rose quartz drops.

The chosen espadrilles were from Abby Designs Created for you, with a very natural and romantic style, sewn by hand with organic thread and a sole made of jute, decorated with silk and very delicate preserved flowers petals.

Johanna chose as bouquet a huge “hoop bouquet” decorated with eucalyptus, an element that she loved and did not leave any guest indifferent. The bouquet was made by ByTheSea Events team with the bride, enjoying moments of fun and complicity.

The Groom
Gabri wanted to feel comfortable. He choose simplicity wearing beige cotton pants, a white El Ganso shirt and a navy vest. His personal touch, a hat brought from one of his surf and adventure trips to Argentina.

The ceremony, a wedding on the beach.
The wedding began at the beautiful Tao Caleta Mar Hotel Boutique, a unique hotel for its location on the beach and by the Dunes´ Natural Park in Corralejo. There, they prepared for the big day.
For the civil ceremony, they sought a stage that united their passions: the sea, the beach and friends.
On a small beach, in the north of Fuerteventura, they gathered their guests and read their vows in a simple and symbolic ceremony. The place breathed peace. A close friend of the couple officially held the ceremony.
The celebration
The celebration took place in a luxury villa, with a large beautifull garden, in Lajares, a village in northern Fuerteventura. They wanted a private space, to decorate as they wished and where they could dance late into the night.
The photos of the pre-wedding, wedding and post-wedding were made by Rosa Garrido. They wanted a story that captured the most authentic and heartfelt moments of the event. Rosa Garrido has been named one of the 30 Rising Stars of wedding photography 2019 representing Spain, the coveted international list of wedding photographers in which professionals who are creating a brand in the industry are officialy recognized.
Eveything was carefully planned: from the simple rustic decoration, the invitations and the menu to the activities that all their guests enjoyed before, during an after the the celebration.
